DP Ruto has for the first time spoken about the arrests and possible prosecution of youths who heckled and disrupted his political rallies. He believes it is the handworks of his opponents who have decided to stick to the old order of doing politics.
Ruto holds that if the financiers of the hooliganism can not be investigated, arrested and brought to book, the youths who have been used to cause chaos in his rallies should be released unconditionally.
William Ruto has been grappling with heckling and all sorts of political hooliganism in most of his political rallies lately. The fact that the police have been reportedly arresting and detaining the culprits without digging deep to unravel the faces behind the planned chaos and ugly acts of hooliganism, has resulted into Dp Ruto calling for immediate release of the youths from police custody.
He said, "As long as the law enforcers are not going to charge the sponsors of this primitive activities, the young people should be spared from the unnecessary harassment and prosecution. Release the youth"
