UDA is unstoppable in the third largest county in the country, that is Nakuru City. In the latest opinion poll done by Mizani Africa group, they have alleged that UDA will win all top seats in Nakuru. Infact, it is alleging that Nakuru will be led by women in all top seats starting from Governor to senator and even women representative.
Below are the leading candidates in each position;
1. Governor- The current senator Hon.Susan Kihika of UDA is leading with 58.1%. She is beating the incumbent governor, Hon. Lee Kinyanjui of Jubilee who has 35.1%. The third is Gitau Ibrahim Karanja who has 3.1%.
The forth is Stanley Karanja who has 2.5% only. He is followed by James Kiarie Mungai who has 0.7% only. Further 0.7% are undecided.
2. Senator - Tabitha Karanja of UDA is leading with 42.5%. She is followed by Lawrence Karanja of Jubilee with 26.1%. Former NACADA chairman, John Mututho of ODM follows with 24.1%. Others including Koigi Wamwere, Daniel Kimani Gitau and Thomas Mwangi are far much behind.
3. Women Representative - UDA also leads here, their candidate, Liza Chelule Chepkorir is ahead with 44.4%. She is followed by Agnes Njambi Githiji of Jubilee with 30.7%. Eunice Muriithi follows with 17.0%. Others who includes Eunice Cheptanui Lelei and Philomena Njeri Mwaniki are far much behind.
