Kenya Kwanza Alliance running mate and Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has made headlines after being nominated by Deputy President William Samoei Ruto. Furthermore, numerous of his political opponents have called into question his honesty.
Former Kiambu County governor William Kabogo told K24 TV's Punchline that he was not prepared to discuss Gachagua's integrity issues. He continued, claiming that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) had given him the option.
"I'd prefer to defer to Gachagua in answering any questions regarding his honesty that may emerge." According to the constitution, you are deemed innocent until proven guilty. According to the media site, he said, "This is your option; we will go with it."
Gachagua is accused of stealing billions of shillings in public funds in a court case.
