The member of parliament for Kimilili constituency made an official address concerning his plan to retreat to local politics. He stated that he wanted to have time with his constituents and other local leaders. True to his word the mp has limited himself to western politics.
The legislator first ventured into renovation and construction of primary schools. Most of the school premises in the constituency looked dilapidated and ramshackled. Through his team of youths in the area, the schools were identified and renovated within days. Among the beneficiary schools was Kimilili DEB, Bituyu high school among many more.
From last week, the mp has busied himself with helping the vulnerable families. He bought maize seeds for some farmers, constructed over 124 houses in various divisions within the sub county. He went to the roof tops with other masons to fix the iron sheets. He had hired a group of youths who helped him execute all the activities within a short period of time. Have a look at the good work.
Most of the beneficiaries could not hide their joy. It was a miracle. Their grass-thatched houses were on the Verge of collapsing especially with the onset of rains. Many families too em received mattresses and blankets. Today the Mp was sharing food for some of the needy groups in the area. This was a good gesture indeed. The sabbatical leave has really done the people of kimilili a wonder. All leaders should try to emulate Didmus Barasa. What do you think of his actions since he stopped politicking !
