The son of former Tanzanian President Jakaya MrishoKikwete has spoken for the first time after claims that his father has died. He says this are false claims coming from individuals who he says do not mean good for the family.

He further claimed that his father is in good shape and those peddling the lie should stop since the country is still mourning the passing of the current president John Pombe Magufuli. Khaflan kikwete said that he has received several phone calls from concerned Tanzanians after words went round that his father to have passed on.
Magufuli took power from Kikwete who also took over from the late Benjamin Mkapa who passed on last year after serving the country for two term. Tanzanians continue to mourn the passing of Magufuli who was pronounced dead Wednesday night after battling heart complications for many months. This is according to medical reports.
