Despite allegations that part of the politicians affiliated with the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga, particularly in the Rift Valley and Mount Kenya, did not include the image of former Prime Minister in their respective constituencies, Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos made the statement.
Fearing political backlash, some candidates have deliberately left a picture of Raila in their campaign papers. But Tolgos has denied the allegations.
Given that he is in the courtyard of Deputy President William Ruto, Tolgos tends to be the last person to do so.
Tolgos is facing a major challenge in his quest for the position of Senator Elgeyo Marakwet, currently in charge of Ruto's right, Kiipchumba Murkomen.
Courageously, Tolgos, who is vying for the Jubilee Party ticket, posted a picture of Raila in her campaign posters.

The Governor's move comes at a time when a number of Raila Odinga's allies have decided to hide their relationship with the former Prime Minister for fear of a political backing.
Following Raila's decision to nominate Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua as his partner, the majority of potential candidates in Mount Kenya and the Rift Valley have chosen to use his image in their campaign posters.
