Uhuru's critiques had speculations that the Commander in Chief was orchestrating an underground scheme to prolong his stay in office.

In an interview with Ben Kitili of the Kenya Television Network, reputed Hesbon Owilla spilled the beans on why Uhuru would love to enjoy the luxury of determining his successor.

This is majorly for self-preservation purposes. They often do this to protect their interests.

Secondly, this facilitates the swift completion of developmental projects they spearheaded for while in office.

It comes amid claims that Uhuru and Raila's friendship is built on shaky grounds in the wake of a Ruto and Raila coalition.
