As the clock tickles towards 9th August 2022, various stakeholder in the country are putting their arsenals together to ensure the election is free,fair and credible. The IEBC being the pivotal body in the election has announced several guidelines to guide Kenyans ahead of the next year general election campaigns.
Today ,the commission through the chairman,Wafula Chebukati banned politician from engaging in any form of Harambee from 9th this month,that is from next week. The IEBC is using all means available to contain politicians before the official campaigns starts in the country.
This is big blow to the deputy president William Ruto who has been supporting youths in every area he visits. The issue of doing harambee is used by many politicians to woe supporters to their factions. William Ruto will have to come up with a new approach woe more youths to his supporters.
