The peoples daily news paper of 26/03/2021 had published some prediction on locking up of some counties following increased cases of covid-19 in the past few weeks.
On the same day at around noon the president,H.E Uhuru Kenyatta,have his speech on the same and exactly the counties mentioned by people daily were scheduled for lockdown on the president's speech. These counties include Kiambu, Nairobi,Machakos, Kajiando and Nakuru.
The main reason why these counties were locked it's because of increased positive results on every test done. Statistics showed that most of them had over 98% positive test for every test done in a day.
The president also ordered closing of bars and restaurants in the mentioned counties.
Curfew time was pushed to 8pm. The president also ordered strict following of set rules to stop the spread of the disease. He says that who ever breaks the rules, they will be punished.
All these measures ment to curb increased cases of covid-19 in the country.
