Moses Kuria Speaks on Junet Mohammed's Controverial Statement on Presidency, Reveals Mt Kenya Demand

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has also reacted to a controversial statement that was made by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed

The ODM MP on Friday while in the Nyanza region, made a joke that many Kenyans led by politicians have interpreted differently.

The lawmaker joked by saying after ODM party leader Raila Odinga wins the presidency in 2022, the government will belong to the Nyanza.

While reacting to the statement, Kuria has said he has now understood why Mt Kenya people are demanding at least 40 per cent share of the next government.

Kuria has said Mt Kenya is demanding to be assured of 40 per cent of the government slots before supporting any presidential aspirant.

"If you listened to the Junet Mohammed Video, you will understand why Mt Kenya is demanding 40% share of government and everything. Na tutiraguagua ! Before you say we have enjoyed power for I don't know how many years, wekelea 40% first. Haiiiiiya !" he posted.

A section of Kenyans believes Junet's statement could be used by Raila's opponents to have voters change their stand and stop backing him up.
