President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance coalition (UDA) has set a timetable for the consolidation of all 16 affiliate parties of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance coalition government.

The Saturday Nation newspaper reported today that the deadline for merging all parties affiliated with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance coalition government has been set for August 2023, when all of the plans to fold the smaller parties aligned with the ruling coalition and join the ruling party as their main strong political vehicle would be completed.

As the ruling party continues to make preparations for the upcoming general elections, a report states that plans are also being made to challenge Raila Oding, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition, in his strongholds. The newly appointed Secretary General Cleophas Malala will be traveling to Kisumu today to inaugurate the party branch office and sign up about 5,000 new members. Thank You For Reading
