Tensions are still high in Mount Kenya, with politicians blaming one other after Raila's Thika Stadium event, which drew only a few hundred people. This has caused a slew of problems, with leaders now claiming they were not informed about the rally. Most Mt. Kenya MPs and MCAs were reportedly turned away by the organizers of the Azimio La Umoja Rally.
This is due to the fact that only 5 of the 92 members of the Country Assembly attended the meeting. Only three of the 14 MPs were present this time.
"Personally, I had no objections to the meeting, but the organizers did not contact us as they should have in order for us to agree on a few details. Attending an event where you look to be a flower girl is pointless "Andrew Kimani, MCA for Thika Township, stated.
The rally was allegedly planned by a few self-centered individuals who wanted to discourage additional people from attending. Many people were taken aback when it ended.
