CS Macharia has made government appointments that Kenyans are not happy with. On a gazette notice running around in the social media, the CS has appointed three officials to be in the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority board.
The three officials include: Mary Waithiegeni Chege, Zachariah Karenge Mungai and Ronald Ndirangu Ndegwa. There appointments according to the gazette notice begins on the 10th February 2021 and will run for a period of three years. The appointment have beenade by CS Macharia, who is the chairperson of Nairobi Metropolitan Area Council.
Kenyans are angry on the appointments because the three officials are from the same tribe, which also is the tribe that CS Macharia comes from. They say this is tribalism as there are many other officials from different tribes that can also sit on the board.
