
On the afternoon of Tuesday 13th April,the new Garissa senator was officially sworn in at the senate. Abdul Haji,son to the late Yusuf Haji was sworn in by senate speak Justin Muturi after he was elected unopposed.
It didn't take long before kenyans showed their happiness by sendings loads of congratulatory messages to the new parliamentarian. During the westgate attack back in 2013 there were a number of good samaritans who risked there lives to save fellow kenyans who were held hostage. Among the courageous citizens, was Abdul Haji who only a few knew by then.

Abdul Haji showed his courage by saving fellow kenyans who had been held by the terrorists. Many were lighted by his heroics and did not hesitate to send the messages of congratulations with love.

Abdul who is taking from his late father will now be the new Garissa senator.
