Leaders from the North Eastern region have now changed their tune hours after agreeing to support the ODM Party Leader Hon Raila Odinga's 2022 Presidential bid via the newly formed UPYA political movement. This follows the confirmation of reports that Finance CS Hon Ukur Yattani has now said that the region is free to support Raila under different parties and that they are still open for any person willing to engage them.
According to the report seen by the Nation, Ukur Yattani dismissed media reports that the region has agreed to dissolve all other political parties to support Raila's Bid as a bloc, after adding that nobody will be forced to vote for someone blindly even though they love Raila.But speaking to the national media under the condition of anonymity, another senior Political leader from the region has koe claimed that CS Ukur Yattani is being misused by some senior leaders in the country for some political scores. The vocal political laser has openly reported that the region will soon invite Deputy President Willam Ruto among other 2022 Presidential candidates for an exclusive interview.
