It was a Ruto affair, Gladys Sholei says ODM and Jubilee NDC was all about Ruto

February 26 was a Day for Orange Democratic movement and Jubilee party Delegates.

ODM and Jubilee held their National Delegates Convention at Kasarani and KICC respectively.

However, ODM chief Raila Odinga graced the Jubilee NDC at KICC and Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta reciprocated by attending ODM NDC at Kasarani Sports Centre.

Weighing on the two party's NDC, Uasin Gishu women representative Gladys Sholei has said that the NDCs turned to be a Ruto affair as most speakers discussed Ruto.

Sholei argued that NDCs should specifically purpose on endorsing and unveiling the party's presidential candidate but ODM and Jubilee spend their time to discuss the Deputy president.

"Party's use the opportunity to approve and endorse the presidential candidate and also ensure members endorsing the president meet the criteria as required by the law. On this one, they spend the whole time discussing Ruto," claimed Shollei.

Gladys said it was disappointing for delegates to discuss an individual instead of discussing party matters.

"It is disappointing, you don't go to an NDC to talk about a specific person, there is a saying that great minds discuss ideas but simple minds discuss people. It was disappointing, it was like a group of people meeting to gossip about one person," added Shollei

The vocal law maker argues that Ruto name took the centre stage of both ODM and Jubilee NDC.
