Following his victory in the election last week as an independent, Kawira Mwangaza, the recently sworn-in governor of Meru, joined the Kenya Kwanza group. Dr. Ruto commended Kawira Mwangaza, the recently elected governor of Meru County, on Friday for his efforts to improve Meru and Kenya.
As we speak, DP Ruto just received more MPs this afternoon who are now willing to help him push the Kenya Kwanza agenda. Speaking while welcoming them to Kenya Kwanza, DP Ruto quoted this;
" We welcome Yakub Adow Kuno (MP elect, Bura Constituency, UPIA Party) and Abdi Ali Abdi (MP-elect Ijara, National Agenda Party of Kenya) to the Kenya Kwanza team. Let us serve the people and move Kenya forward, " the post revealed.
The unexpected election of independent candidate Kawira Mwangaza over political heavyweights Mithika Linturi and Kiraitu Murungi to become the governor of Meru stunned a lot of people.
She was viewed as the underdog during the election process since the incumbent argued she lacked the qualifications to serve as county executive. According to Ms. Mwangaza, the departing Meru Woman delegate and bishop of the Baite Family Fellowship church, the triumph was a prophecy fulfilled.
