Vocal Kieleweke legislator for Kieni Constituency Hon Kanini Kega has given his statement regarding remarks made by Suna East Member Of Parliament Junet Mohammed, a close ally of the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga regarding the next government. Junet Mohammed jokingly said that if Raila Odinga Succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022, that government will be the government of the people of Nyanza region. These remarks, although Junet said them on a light note have caused tension within Raila Odinga's Camp and mostly those coming from Mt Kenya region. That statement by Junet has become a campaining thing for leaders allied to DP Ruto and mostly those Coming from Mt Kenya.
However, according to Kieni Member Of Parliament Hon Kanini Kega, those remarks by Junet Mohammed were just a joke and it was nothing to be taken seriously. Kanini Kega has warned that it should not be used to create a mountain out of an anti hill. Kega has been among leaders campaining aggressively for Raila Odinga.
