The Elevation of Women to Great Leadership

Women have emerged to be great leaders currently here in Africa. They take elevated positions every day. This is because they have been empowered and they believe in themselves more. Gender parity is not an issue any more with the recent positions taken up by women and the future seems to be promising. These women have beaten the odds to achieve great positions which have been mostly male. Here are examples of great woke who have achieved scaled to a tremendous height;

Sahle Work-Zewde

She is an Ethiopian, politician and currently she is the president of Ethiopia. Sahle Zewde is the first woman to hold the office. She was elected on 25 October 2018 by the federal parliamentary assembly for a term of six years.

Samia Suluhu Hassan

She is a Tanzanian politician who is serving currently as the sixth president of the United Republic Tanzania. Samia Suluhu is a member of the ruling Democrat Chama cha Mapinduzi Party. She assumed the office on 19 March 2021 after the death of Dr. John Magufuli who was the president of Tanzania


Martha Koome

She is the incoming chief justice of Kenya, after being nominated by the Judicial service commission. Martha will be the first female to serve in Kenyan courts

Women are no longer housekeepers as it used to be in the previous years. They are really working hard to achieve their dreams.
