Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday, 10th January 2023 hosted Kisii County Governor Simba Arati at his office in Harambee Annex raising lots of speculations of what could be cooking between the Azimio la Umoja affiliated Governor and the DP.
Speaking after hosting Governor Arati at his office, the DP revealed that they discussed a wide range of issues including realigning ther common strategic priorities, especially on the fully and partly devolved functions.
Further, he stated that devolution remains central to the Kenya Kwanza Administration in bringing back dignity to the lives of Kenyans irrespective of their party or political affiliations.
"Today, I hosted the Governor of Kisii County Hon. @SimbaArati at my Office in Harambee Annex for talks on delivering on the devolution promise to the people of Kenya," DP Rigathi said.
During the meeting, the two also discussed areas of partnership between national government and county government in creating new synergies for better service delivery.
