Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen's Personal Assistant Adams Kipshanai has been grilled over the heckling of Raila Odinga in Iten.
The Keiyo North Parliamentary Aspirant, appeared at Iten DCI offices after he was mentioned as one of the heckling masterminds. He however, rubbished the reports, saying he is innocent and has never involved himself in any peace-threatening act.
"I was summoned to the DCI offices here at Iten over allegations that I was involved in heckling of Raila Odinga when he visited Iten last week. I told them what I know and I can say that these are just politics. I ask our competitors to avoid looking for sympathy votes when seeking votes" stated Kipshanai.
He said all visitors are welcome to Elgeyo Marakwet to look for votes and that nobody will be intimidated. He said UDA is a peaceful party and that anybody who will be involved in such malpractices will face the law.
Raila Odinga was heckled and even forced to cut short his speech in Iten town on Friday after the crowd turned rowdy. UDA and Ruto chants forced Raila to abandon his speech and flew to Mzee Kibor's home, where his chopper was later attacked again.
