Kiambu: "99% Of Mt Kenya Are With Dp Ruto, Moses Kuria And Karua Are Insignificant" Miguna Claims

Canada-based Kenyan controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has now broken his silence over Mt Kenya's unity ahead of 2022 presidential election.

This follows after the barrister argued that leaders from the region cannot purport to negotiate on behalf of its residents because they were no longer a unifying voice. He quipped that the individual politicians who were pushing for the unity of the region, among them Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua and others were engaging in a futile exercise.

According to him, deputy president Dr William Ruto was now a defacto politician in Mt Kenya. He averred that the DP had amassed an overwhelming support from the residents in his 2022 State House journey and had rendered Kuria and company unity calls inconsequential.

Further, Miguna who was speaking on Look TV Live from Canada noted that the Gatundu South lawmaker was lying when he alleged that Mt Kenya had more votes than any other region in Kenya. He dismissed Kuria's claims that the region should be given the deputy president position and 40% of government ministerial and ambassadorial positions by any presidential hopeful in exchange for their support.

"As a matter of fact, 99% of Mt Kenya are with Ruto. Who is Moses Kuria and Martha Karua negotiating on behalf?" Wondered Miguna.

This comes after the region's politicians led by Kuria and Karua issued irreducible minimums to presidential aspirants who wanted to tap into the support of the residents in 2022 general election. They are urging on the presidency contenders to promise the region a runningmate slot and 40% of government jobs because, in their observation, the stated percentage is consummate to their votes.
