A video has surfaced on social media showing Raila Odinga promoting the bottom-up economic model that Deputy President William Ruto has been promoting
DP Ruto anchored his presidential agenda on the bottom-up economic model as his way of reviving the country's economy and making it a better place for everyone, where resources are distributed from the bottom of the pyramid going upward.
Raila is among those who criticized the model when DP Ruto started promoting it.
A new video has emerged showing Raila promoting the bottom-up model as he plans to take more resources to the counties.
"Tuwe na ward fund, ward fund hiyo ndio bottom-up, maana tukileta pesa huko chini maendeleo itakua...." Raila said in the video, which closely translates to
(We should have ward funds, which is a representation of the bottom-up economic model if we bring money at the ward level, the development will be there)
