Mvita constituency member of parliament Hon. Abdulswamad Sheriff, has addressed the rumours that he has shelved his gubernatorial ambition in favour of Suleiman Shahbal who recently decamped to the Orange Democratic Movement party.
The close ally of Raila Odinga has revealed that he is in the race and will not quit for anyone. He dismissed those speculating about him stating that their Propaganda will not block him from clinching the seat.
He promised to stand with the people of Mombasa just as he has been since they elected him as a member of parliament.
This comes as the fight over the Orange Democratic Movement party ticket continues intensifying with Shabhal also maintaining from the other side that he is the best candidate to fly the ticket.
Both governor Joho and Raila have not declared support for any candidate. It is not clear how the race will end. Watch Abdulswamad here:https://www.facebook.com/Mutembei254/videos/293116678934267/
