The Former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga, accompanied with his close Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Chief Principals is expected to cast his political nets deep into Deputy President William Samoei Ruto's turf, Rift Valley in pursuit to heighten his presidential bid ahead of 2022 general elections.
Amid his (Raila) plans to penetrate into Uasin Gishu County, Rift Valley where massive inroads are expected to be observed as from next week, crucial details about the ODM Chief's secret meeting have leaked on Friday morning. It has now been established that Raila's closed door meeting was held on Thursday afternoon at the Great Rift Valley Lodge, Naivasha in Nakuru County where he met with members of the ODM technical team.
According to insiders, the meeting was centered at taking the political conversation to a point of issuing a lifeline on when Raila Odinga will finally announce his interest on whether he will vie for the country's top seat. With that, it's now likely that the final declaration concerning the pronouncement of ODM party's frontrunner ahead of the stiff race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta will come later this month.
