The residents alleged that Momoima Onyonka was poisoned at Ibacho town in Nyariba Masaba constituency where he accompsnied Dagorrretti North MP Simba Arati for for his gubernatorial campaigns.They said that Onyonka was given a bottle of water that he drank.But after a short time,they narrated,the MP started vomiting as blood oozed from his mouth.photo:Water.

Onyonka is the only one who has expresd intest to vie the Kisii senator's seat in 2022.The seat is held by Prof.Sam Ongeri who is eyeing the Kisii gubernatorial seat currently held by Ongwaephoto:Senator Ongeri.
Concerning the poisoning of Onyonka,some observers said that it might have been stage managed by Simba Arati who is said to be a political acrobat.Others apoealed for peace to prevail to enable the police carry independent investigation.
