Another Great Win for Sakaja After Friday's Ruling by the High Court

The High Court has ruled that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission should print the upcoming general elections ballot papers with Johnson Sakaja's name on it.

High Court judge Anthony Mrima delivered the ruling where he declined to allow the striking out of the Nairobi gubernatorial candidate's name from the Nairobi county race.

"Given that steps have ready been taken for an expedited hearing for this matter, hence the order shall not be issued at this point," the judge ruled.

This comes just a day after the Commission of University Education on Thursday sent a letter to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairperson Wafula Chebukati noting that they had revoked the degree that had been awarded to Sakaja.

This now means that Johnson Sakaja is likely to be on the ballot pending the hearing and determination of the case that has been presented before the court by Dennis Wahome.
