Many questions have been asked if President Uhuru Kenyatta will still influence the 2022 presidential elections, or he might even run for another seat since he is too young.
But according to Kung'u, the Kikuyu Council of Elders patron who also happens to be Uhuru's cousin, President Uhuru is too young to retire.
Muigai however said that Uhuru will be more involved in other development agendas for the country and even Africa.
Muigai also added that there are always divisions in the Mount Kenya region, but claimed that the people are active and intelligent. He also said that a time will come when they will all speak in one voice.
On Muturi's coronation, Muigai said that those who are opposing Muturi as the region's spokesperson has some conflicting interests. He added that Murang'a Governor Mwangi wa Iria wants to become the Mount Kenya spokesperson hence the outburst.
Anne Waiguru and Peter Munya are examples of some leaders also who claimed that they don't recognize Muturi as the region's spokeperson.
