DP Ruto has finally revealed the dangerous disease that has been killing Raila's presidential ambitions since he entered back in 2007. According to DP Ruto, in order for one to win any seat, you need to establish a stronghold among the grassroot leaders in your party. Grassroot leaders have to show care and support for each other from lower seats as we ascend upwards to the powerful seats.
Unfortunately, this is what had been missing in Raila Odinga's camp. According to DP Ruto, there is a certain mentality where some leaders will convince themselves that if so and so wins or not, it won't affect his or her seat. This makes one minimize the energy he or she puts in to support the person going for the top seat in the same party.
DP Ruto put it clear that when a certain leader is going for a certain seat, his allies and party members have a direct influence. DP Ruto said this ignorance has been killing Raila in ODM where some MPs, Senators and Governors tell themselves that even if someone wins or not, he will still win.
