Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been told to stoop with his threats of going after those who stole in the last regime. Fred Okang’o says Rigathi is looking for a reason to go after former state officers who served in Uhuru’s government.
According to Okang’o, the claims by Rigathi do not hold any water and he is just playing politics. Rigathi claims that there are number of individuals who stole billions from public coffers and should be brought to book. He says soon he will table a list of all the individuals showing how much they took from public resources.

Okang’o has said that Azimio believes in the rule of law and there is nothing wrong with Gachagua producing the list. He has accused Gachagua of planning to use state machinery to persecute former state officers who served in Uhuru’s government. He has noted that the threats and utterances made by Gachagua is to prepare Kenyans for witch-hunt by the Kenya Kwanza regime.

“The utterances by Gachagua show that the Kenya Kwanza government is preparing to persecute those who worked with Uhuru Kenyatta. He should come up with a list to make his threats complete. Azimio believes in the rule of the law and we will support if he is speaking the truth. We don’t want the DP to lie to Kenyans about some of these things,” Okang’o has said.
Okang’o says the claims by Gachagua are very strong and they need to be investigated so that the truth can come out without people just saying rumours. He now wants the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
