DP Ruto to give Makueni sex workers Sh1m

DP Ruto Responds to Raila's Remarks During Kalembe Burial - <a"/>On Monday, October 25, Deputy President William Ruto promised Ksh1 million to commercial sex workers in Mtito Andei, Makueni County.

During a rally in the area, the DP asked the workers to form a SACCO in which he promised to deposit the money.

The DP was responding to workers who had requested assistance through the 'Hustlers Empowerment Fund.'

He went on to say that he would keep an eye on the workers to make sure they were running a legitimate business.

The DP acknowledged that unemployment had become a national crisis, leading to youth depression and involvement in criminal and drug activities.

"Stipends cannot build Kenya." "We need jobs and business opportunities that will enable them to become economically self-sufficient," he said.

Ruto and his supporters have been touring the country, rallying Kenyans in support of the bottom-up economic model.

He claims that the model will promote inclusive and sustainable growth by providing a strong framework for our country's businesses.

Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, MPs Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), Katoo Ole Metito (Kajiado South), United Democratic Alliance Chairman Nduya Muthama, and former Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki were among those present.

The DP attended a church service at Latter Glory Worship Center in Kiambaa, Kiambu County, on Sunday.

There, he promised residents that if elected president in 2022, he would improve education and infrastructure.
