Reprieve For DP Gachagua As Court Extends Order Stopping Transfer of Ksh 1.5B Property Linked to Him

Rigathi Gachagua is current deputy president of Kenya. He was elected together with President William Ruto in just concluded general election. Before then he was member of parliament of Mathira constituency.

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has been linked to various scandals that involves billion of shillings. He has been accused of defrauding nyeri county during the reign of his late brother.

It is now huge reprieve to deputy president Rigathi Gachagua as Environment and Lands has extended order stopping the transfer of property worth Ksh 1.5 Billion which are owned by deputy president.

According to the source, Justice Ogutu Mboya has said extended order to October 13, 2022 before application is heard.

Justice Oguttu Mboya extended the orders to October 13, 2022 when it will hear the application before it.

His lawyer Philip Nyachoti who appeared before Justice Oguttu Mboya also claimed that the former Director of Physical planning John Michael had tampered with records at the land office in a bid to rob property belonging to his client, Rigathi Gachagua. The matter will now be heard and determined on Thursday October 13, 2022.
