Hon. William Samoei Ruto is the current deputy president of the Republic of Kenya. However, Ruto will be contesting for the presidential seat in 2022, where the next general election shall be held in the country. In the past few days, Ruto has been touring Mombasa County, explaining to the people about the bottom-up economic model and the small scale traders will benefit from his government if elected.

Speaking in Kongowea Market in Nyali, Ruto told the residents that he is not in a battle with anyone and that he wants other politicians to understand that caring for the Wananchi is a priority. Ruto also welcomed the One Kenya Alliance team to comments on their campaigns rather than holding meetings and wasting time.

Before finalizing his speech, William Ruto named the delegates who accompanied him on his tour today. He acknowledged the presence Of, Mohamed Ali (Nyali), Owen Baya (Kilifi North), Khatib Mwashetani (Lunga Lunga), Kimani Ichung'wah (Kikuyu), Caleb Kositany (Soy), Benjamin Tayari (Kinango), Aden Duale (Garissa Town), Anab Gure (Garissa), Anwar Loitiptip (Lamu), Falhada Iman (Nominated) and former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar.

However, Ruto asked Hon. Mohamed Ali to speak to the people, because Nyali was his home. " Wewe simama hapa, uko nyumbani", Ruto stated. this made people the Nyali residents happy, an indication that they love their Mp.
