Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen is a common name in Kenya's political arena.The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator has been representing his people in parliament for the second term.He was also the Majority Party Leader before being ousted in 2020.
The vocal politician and Deputy President William Ruto's number one loyal is not your ordinary leader, he is learned and an advocate of the High Court by profession.He joined the University of Nairobi Law School in the year 2000 and few years later elected as a students leader.He a key official of the then Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU).It is here that he was ushered into the world of politics.
While serving the students as their leader, young Murkomen got opportunities of interacting with notable figures in the country.Among them was former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga who was the Member of Parliament of Lang'ata Constituency at that time.
