Election Observers Group Release Their Parallel Vote Tabulation on The August Presidential Election

ELOG observer mission says its parallel vote tally matches IEBC figures

Earlier on this month, The Indipendent Electoral and Boundaries Commision through Its Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced Deputy President William Samoei Ruto as the President-elect set to take over from Uhuru Kenyatta.

As per the IEBC, William Samoei Arap Ruto won the presidential election after garnering 7,176,141 votes (representing 50.49) and Raila Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja garnered 6,942,930 votes (representing 48 percent) out of the total votes cast.

According to The Elections Observation Group, their tally is in support of the official figures released by the IEBC on Monday, 14th 2022.

Moreover, Chairperson Anne Ireri stated that their valuation placed Ruto's results at 50.7 percent and Raila's results at 48.7 percent. She also stated that the IEBC officials results and their tabulated results have a margin error of plus or minus 2.1 percent.

It was also revealed that the Election Observation Group had their projection for the final voter turnout at 65.1 percent against IEBC's Official form 34C turnout of 65.4 percent.
