Karua: If I Were The CS Interior This Is How I'd Treat Kenyans Caught On Roads Trying To Beat Curfew

NARC Kenya party leader Hon. Martha Karua has given her opinion on how the Kenyans living in towns trying to beat curfew hours in the evening should be treated.

Karua says, if she were the cabinet secretary for the interior and coordination of national government ministry, she would ensure Kenyans are not kept too long on the roads, she would ensure they are facilitated to their various homes. On the issue of those deliberately late, Karua would give tickets to them so that they would appear in court the next morning.

Karua has stated that it is wrong how the government is mistreating Kenyans especially the town dwellers, Karua argues that the government should understand that most of these people are affected by the heavy traffics on the highways and that is why they sometimes get caught on the wrong side of the government.

She added that there is no law that allows the security agencies to punish Kenyans court breaking the Covid-19 Protocols and that it is the responsibility of the court to sentence such individuals.

She said that if she were a judge and people who had been kept for on the roads the whole night were brought to her, she would immediately release them and condemn the security agency.
