The United Progressive Alliance Party (UPA), which has strong ties to former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, has said that it will not participate in the mass action demonstrations planned by the leader of the Azimio movement, Raila Odinga.
The source indicates that UPA, an associate of the Azimio alliance, has now distanced itself from Raila's plan for mass action on March 20.
Amos Nyaribo, who is also the governor of Nyamira county and a close ally of Matiang'i, has confessed that his party conducted a closed-door meeting with Ruto's UDA party on Monday, where they promised to work together in the future but stated that they will not leave Azimio to join Kenya Kwanza.

Despite Raila Odinga's staunch support for Matiangi when he was being interrogated by the DCI, his party has admitted to betraying him on Monday by claiming that it will assist the current administration in delivering the alleged pledges.
