The two top leaders met at Kinguru stadium in Kirinyaga county where the celebration of Mashujaa day 2021 was held. Among the leaders was the president of Malawi Hon. Chakwera Lazarus, former prime minister Raila Odinga, Governors, senators, members of Parliament, and other government leaders.
The celebration will be the last one for President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold and since then the day meant a lot to him. Several heroes and heroines were recognized for the well-being of the nation.
In past days, the country has been on a heated debate as top leaders are running up and down to campaign for the next general elections which will be held in 2022.
There has been a gap between president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy due to political stands. The division made William Ruto form his political party known as UDA in readiness to climb the top seat. However, today the two put their differences aside and shared laughter for the peace of the country.
