Mt kenya leaders
The deputy president William Ruto is the powerful presidential candidate. He has mobilized his political soldiers who will ensure he clinches the presidential seat. Currently he is penetrating Opposition strongholds mainly in the coast, Ukambani and western regions. He is looking for the suitable running mate. Initially speculations were high that he may pick his running mate from Central Kenya. This is why he has held numerous meeting with leaders from this region.
Kikuyu Elders today held a meeting in Sahana Hotel to chant their way forward and political developments in the country. One of their issue they discussed is Ruto's role in the current government headed by President Uhuru Kenyatta. According to those who were present, it was evidenced that Ruto is currently undermining his boss.
The Elders agreed to keep mum and wait the president's directives as far as politics are concern. They agreed that Uhuru as their spokesman will communicate to them the way forward. They urged their fellow countrymen to wait the final word of president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mr Peter Gitau, the former MP, said that Ruto has been going round compaigning against Uhuru Kenyatta's directive to all politico to stop early compaigns. Honourable Gitau said that president Uhuru Kenyatta had planned to honour his promises he made to Ruto concerning supporting him in 2022 general election but Ruto's misconduct, behaviours and lack of respect caused the president to think otherwise.
This means Mt kenya people's Presidential Candidate is not Ruto but somebody else
