Deputy president William Ruto is expected any time from now to land in Baringo county for a mega political rally in the county. The mega rally will take place at Eldama Ravine constituency in Baringo county.
UDA allied leaders and supporters are already in the venue waiting for the second in command and his entourage to arrive. The leaders and supporters are dressed on UDA yellow attires. This has painted the venue yellow because of the dominating UDA yellow t-shirts and caps.
Several leaders have already arrived waiting to warmly welcome deputy president upon his arrival. They include Garissa Town legislator Aden Duale, Kapseret legislator Oscar Sudi, Bahati legislator Kimani Ngunjiri, Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago and a host of UDA aspirants from Baringo county.

Eldama Ravine member of parliament Moses Lessonet is the host leader. Legislator Moses is one of the longest serving member of parliament in Baringo county. He is serving his third term in parliament and now is eyeing for Baringo gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket.
Baringo county is divided into two political factions. One faction supports UDA party led by deputy president William Ruto while the other supports KANU party led by Baringo senator Gideon Moi.
Deputy president William Ruto seems to enjoy relative grassroot support in the county compared to senator Gideon Moi. Majority of elected leaders from the county have also endorsed deputy president William Ruto presidential bid.
Today's mega rally will cement Ruto support in the county. Deputy president is also expected to address massive insecurity in the county and banditry attacks. He will also popularize his 2022 presidential bid under his new bottom-up economic model which aims at empowering local traders.
