Ruto has already landed in Elda Maravin to a warm reception from the area locals who thronged the streets to receive him. Ruto made made his way aboard a high end Chevrolet vehicle which was closely accompanied by other vehicles in his convoy.

Ruto is expected to make several stopovers in the area which has for long been claimed to be his stronghold. He is in the company of local leaders who are believed to be eyeing the UDA tickets in the nomination process which is likely to split the party ahead of the 2022 polls slated for August this year.
Ruto is visiting the area just minutes before boarding the plane to Nakuru where he is expected to meet up with Mudaand Wetangula who are also expected to stage vigorous campaigns for him in the 2022 poll. Ruto is keen on clinching the top seat in the next election.
