"Tumekataa" Kindiki's Governor Rejects Ruto's Rumoured Offer to Kindiki, States What they Want

After accompanying Deputy President William Ruto to a campaign rally in Tharaka Nithi County, governor Muthomi Njuki boldly told the DP that they are not interested in the Attorney General position rumoured to have been offered to senator Kithure Kindiki after he missed the Running Mate position.

Speaking at their stopover in Marimanti, the governor told Ruto that they (Ruto's allies from Tharaka Nithi) now know that Ruto has good plans for their son Kindiki after he insisted that the senator upgrades to national politics and abandon his gubernatorial ambitions.

However, he told Ruto that he should not send them into political darkness by giving Kindiki a position that will not allow him to serve the people of Tharaka Nithi.

"Husituweke kwa giza sana. Hiyo nafasi amabayo utampatia ya tatu, mpatie ile atatumia kukusaidia huko juu na pia asaidie hawa watu wa hapa Tharaka Nithi (Not leave us in darkness. That position that you will give him as number three, give him that which he will use to help you at the top and also to help the people of Tharaka Nithi)," the Governor who was speaking from Ruto's vehicle told told the DP.

Governor Muthomi Njuki said that Kindiki should also not be given a ministry where he just seats and looks and the papers. He informed Ruto that the rumoured offer for the Attorney General position is a big No for them because the position will not allow Kindiki serve his people of Tharaka Nithi.

"Huzimpatie ministry ya kuangalia makaratasi. Ile Attorney General tumekataa naibu wa Rais ata kama tunakupenda sana. Mpatie ile itasaidia hawa watu wa chini (Don't give him the ministry for checking papers. Deputy President we have refused the Attorney General offer even if we love you so much. Give him that which can help this people down here)," Muthomi told Ruto.
