Why Raila Odinga Will Not Be Considering Mudavadi And Kalonzo For Possible Running Mate Position

Raila Odinga is currently touring the country in search of support for his presidential ambitions. He is in a hectic political journey to counter the wave created by deputy president William Ruto. He seems to be considering the Mount Kenya region more than ever before. This pushes Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka out of the picture.

Technically Kalonzo and Mudavadi have lost their chances of deputizing Raila Odinga in the next general elections. This are the results of playing a hard stance against him vying for power. The two gentlemen wanted Raila to reciprocate the favour they have done for him. Musalia Mudavadi was hinted that the country is ready for his presidency.

The Mount Kenya region boosts of having the highest number of voters in the country. This means that for one to get their votes, he or she must give them the deputy president's position in government. This is the major reason that Raila Odinga may look for a running mate from the region.

Time is running out for the newly formed OKA coalition. The group is not sure whether it will run or support somebody else. Gideon Moi is on the verge of defecting the group and joining Raila. This leaves Musalia and Kalonzo with no option but to either align with Ruto or Raila.
