Today, the AU special envoy for Infrastructure took the talk to the MAA community meeting with the Kajiado county leadership led by their governor Joseph Ole Lenku. In the meeting, vast issues were at their disposal for discussion and land question with historical injustices stood out.
After what seemed to be a more persuasive meeting, the leaders pledged to fully support for more resources being channelled to their counties. This is in line with what Hon. Raila has been for in the BBI document.
"I had the pleasure of holding a consultative forum with leaders from Kajiado led by @joelenku. The MAA leaders pledged their full support for more resources to be channelled into the counties." Raila took to twitter after the meeting.
"The leaders informed me that they are keen on having the unresolved land question and historical injustices addressed as the Nation moves forward." Added Raila.
Siaya has been put on record for being the first county assembly to overwhelmingly pass the document. Should the document be supported by more than the half of the 47 county assemblies then a contested referendum will be inevitable.Raila with Governor Ole Lenku. Twitter.
