Maina Kamanda, a newly elected Member of Parliament, has stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta will soon begin his one-on-one engagement with the people of Mount Kenya. According to Maina Kamanda, President Uhuru Kenyatta is planning a series of rallies in his political backyard to explain to the populace his nine-year record in the region and to advise them ahead of the August poll.
Today, the outspoken member of the National Assembly said that the president's journey is intended to depolarize the region's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) led by Deputy President William Ruto.
Uhuru will appear to explain what he has done and what he desires. He will ensure that the UDA does not gain any seats in the region. Those politicians hastily joining the UDA will quickly realize they have joined the wrong side, "he continued.
