Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi is undoubtedly a common name in Kenya's political arena. He is an aspiring presidential candidate and has also served in key positions in the government previously. For example he has ever been a Vice President during President Moi's tenure in office. When the position of Prime Minister was created after the 2007/8 clashes, he deputized Raila Odinga.
Now let as leave alone Mudavadi and focus on his father. He was none other Moses Mudamba, an influential and vibrant politician from Western Kenya and more particularly Sabatia Constituency in Kakamega where he was the area Member of Parliament.
Apart from serving as a legislator, Hon Mudamba was also a Local Government minister in Moi's cabinet. He passed away in the year 1989.Young Mudavadi followed his footsteps and succeeded him as the second MP of Sabatia. He left behind two wives.
