President Ruto's Yellow Flag Officially Raised at State House

Dr. William Samoei Ruto was officially sworn in as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya on Tuesday in an event that was attended by thousands of Kenyans and other leaders from different parts of the world. President William Ruto officially received instruments of power from former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The new head of State also managed to occupy State House after the former administration vacated the premises. According to Kikuyu Member of Parliament, President Ruto has already erected his symbolic flag at State House.

The vocal lawmaker posted photos of the new yellow flag bearing an image of a wheelbarrow erected at the State House. Uhuru's navy blue flag was lowered down signifying the end of his term in office.

Every head of State is required to choose his favorite flag when he assumes office. The previous presidents starting from Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki, and Uhuru Kenyatta all had a unique flag.

All attention will now focus on President William Ruto to see what his new administration will look like and how he will appoint his cabinet ministers. Also, Kenyans will be keen to see how his administration will perform in the years to come.
