Raila Makes U-Turn on Weak Candidates In Azimio, Says Dropping Out Is Voluntary

Few days after chairing the Azimio Council and heavily supporting zoning of regions by ensuring weak candidates drop out of the race, the former premier Raila Odinga has made a big U-Turn. Odinga has made it clear that no candidate will be forced to drop out of the race going into the August 9th polls.

Raila has affirmed that as we move into the August 9th polls, no candidate will be forced to drop a change of heart and strategy. Already Odinga seems to have realized that at the moment he was unlikely to change candidates who have been campaigning to drop.

Raila has therefore made it clear that everybody has a right to contest for no one will be pushed out of the race. At the moment, it's clear he is stopping at nothing in ensuring his camp remains united despite concerted efforts to have zoning in key areas so that they can win many seats at the ballot.

As always, let's wait and see of what unfolds for it's clear we truly live in very interesting times. At the moment, it's a fact the deputy President William Ruto seems ready to formulate a huge team that will win massive seats in the national assembly going into the August 9th polls.
