Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has taken Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Report campaign to the coastal region.
Odinga has toured Taita Taveta County, Kilifi and today he was in Mombasa County in Kongowea area where he drummed support for the BBI report. He was accompanied by top government lawmakers such as Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Mish Mboko and Babu Owino.
Governor Joho while addressing the citizens in Kongowea, he said that he will battle it out with Raila Odinga in party primaries to get Odm presidential candidate ahead of 2022 general elections.
Joho said that he's ready to take on Odinga and incase he wins the presidential party ticket Odinga will have to back him and if Odinga wins the presidential ticket, he will shelve his presidential bid and support Odinga.
In conclusion, Odm party pushed the application deadline for presidential candidates from 26th February to March 31st this year.
