In a statement published by capital FM, it has been established that William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua will be in Mathira, Nyeri county, for the funeral of Gachagua's elder brother who died after battling a long illness. James Reriani Gachagua was 78 years old, his burial will be held at Hiriga Primary School. The duo will later address a public gathering in Gatundu, Kiambu county
This comes days after Ruto named Gachagua as his running mate in the Kenya Kwanza Coalition, this will be their first visit since the appointment.
